Subject: Nasty Rumours.... [Sonnets]
 
        This may be old hat to some of the professionals in the field, but I
found it rather new and surprising: it seems that some of Shakespeare's sonnets
were written to a man.... something to do with two men and a woman in some sort
of love triangle (this from a friend of mine who is doing her MA in English at
Waterloo).
 
        Any comments?  Is this just the latest, fadish over-analysis from bored
English critics, or is their good reason to reinterpret the sonnets this way?
