It would be terrific if you could persuade
the Executive Council to give you the
Shakespeare Directory (names and addresses
of countless folk) to circulate on Shaksper.
When it is necessary to get someone's phone
no., it is time-consuming and expensive to
call the Dept., then return an answering call,
and then beg a secretary for a home phone no.
for someone whom you know well.

Subject: Useful Resources for SHAKSPER

Jean Brink's suggestion is a good one, and one which I will pursue
in Vancouver. Michael Warren phoned me recently to ask just what
exactly I would like from the SAA, and the primary things which
occurred to me were endorsement in the SAA Bulletin, and participation
in SHAKSPER (electronic copies of Bulletins came to mind, but the
Directory would also be very valuable).

Does anyone else have suggestions for SHAKSPER? Whether particularly
related to the SAA, or to the Folger, or SQ, or whatever. I will
endeavour to provide as many resources as possible on SHAKSPER, if
members indicate an interest. (Some physical limitations on storage
space may have to be considered, of course.)

This is the last number of SHAKSPER until after Vancouver.
Au (electronic) revoir!
