Re:  musical works based on Shakespearean ones, as well as the earlier
"Forbidden Planet" note:  "Return to the Forbidden Planet," a rock musical
loosely based on "Forbidden Planet," but which borrowed lines from many
of Shakespeare's plays, was showing in London last summer, and may still be,
for all I know.  The music was mainly '50s and '60s rock, the staging was
elaborately high-tech, the Shakespearean references were outrageous, and
overall it was a lot of fun.
