   A new mailing list on the subject of Arthurian legend and Grail Lore.
   The 'Matter of Britain', as it is known, in all its guises and all
   related subjects, discussed in an unmoderated mailing list.

   Technical Details.
   ------------------

   There are two mailing addresses you will need to know.:

   1)
 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

           If you wish to be added to or removed from the mailing list
           or if you want to report a bug or if you want info on the
           mailing list or any other such technical stuff, this is the
           address to use.
   2)
 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

           This is for your articles and chat. It is unmoderated and
           unfiltered, so anything goes. This is the address you will
           post to mainly.

   I don't mind if people mail me personally about the mailing list
   especially if they find mail starts to bounce at either of the above
   addresses.

   As well as this there is an FTP address with up to date archives and
   some GIF pictures and interesting articles. The address is:
                129.215.56.11  (sapphire.epcc.ed.ac.uk)
   The login name is anonymous with your mail address as the password.
   Then cd pub/camelot and get the README to find the contents.

   About Camelot.
   - --------------

           Camelot is a forum for discussion of all Arthurian fields of
   interest. I don't moderate the list but I'll give a few ideas
   here about what the field might cover.

   * Contemporary stories
   * Book/film reviews
   * Poetry
   * Papers of literature study
   * Archeology
   * Linguistics (this does occur frequently !)
   * History
   * New-age views
   * Comparative mythology
   * Location visits
   * Events/clubs/shows
   * Grail Lore
   * Re-enactment
   * Art
   * Ideas/theories/questions/answers ...

    ... and almost anything else - you tell me.

           I've set up the mailing list because I do not feel that an
   existing News group is directly applicable and that cross-posting
   would get prolific. I do not know if there would be sufficient demand
   for a new News group but suspect that the numbers are more applicable to
   a mailing list - so here it is.

   About Me - The Co-ordinator.
   - ----------------------------

           The mailing list is new (started on 11/06/91) and is run by
   me, Chris Thornborrow. I am a (new) member of the Pendragon Society
   and have studied Arthurian legend and Grail Lore for quite a while.
   I am not an academic in this field but find it a fascinating hobby.

   Final Word.
   - -----------

           Post post and post. Even if you just saw 'Camelot' once on T.V.
   and want to know who wrote the music ... post. Remember the round table
   was for equals to sit at so welcome to Camelot and sit at the table -
   albeit electronic in nature.

   - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

   Chris.
