A recent production at the University of Scranton (and Michael Friedman, who
served as dramaturge and Launce can give more details) addressed the problem
of sexism somewhat at the end. The director, Joan Robbins, had Silvia gagged
for the entire ending, choking out responses to what was going on around her
but unable to respond verbally. A nice touch, since the men do make all the
decisions at the end...
