Subject: How many children...

I'm getting a course packet ready for the fall and am trying, with no success,
to locate the Dover Wilson essay "How Many Children Hath Lady Macbeth?" Can
anybody point me in the right direction? Does anyone know of any other (maybe
more current) essay that addresses the problem of characters and "real life"?
I'm trying to include something in the packet that speaks to my students'
persistence in interpreting the characters in the plays as though they are real
people. You can reach me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Thanks,
