Subject: Prospero, Caliban and Postcolonialism
I can't remember if someone has mentioned Stephen Greenblatt's essay "Learning
to Curse," in the book of the same title (Routledge, 1990). Probably. A
personal favorite is Stephen Orgel's "Shakespeare and the Cannibals" in
*Cannibal, Witches and Divorce: Estranging the Renaissance* ed. M. Garber
Baltimore: Johns Hopkins 1987.
Happy reading.
