Given the uniformity of stylistic conventions in Elizabethan portraiture, etc.,
the identification of 17 points of similarity is unsurprising. I suspect one
would find as many points of similarity between any number of portraits,
including Shakespeare, the Earl of Oxford, Francis Bacon, and Christopher
Marlowe . . . Hey, now there's an idea . . . Also, comparison of portraits and
casts is quite different from comparison of photographs and casts.
