There was a whole series of Mr. Magoo Does The Classics (not what it was
called, of course). I remember Cyrano de Bergerac and the Count of Monte
Cristo; I know there were others.

It is part of an entire series. "Wishbone" the dog is slightly less
plausible than Magoo the great actor. The animated series had a framing
device of Magoo in his dressing room before the "performance." Perhaps
the one role that Magoo was anatomically correct for any rate, was
Cyrano. He did a better job than Steve Martin.
I recall "Don Quixote", "Snow White"--Magoo played ALL seven dwarves,
probably the best known is a musical version of "A Christmas Carol."
