Subject: Post-Graduate Conference in Hull

A one day post-graduate forum entitled 'Shakespeare and his
Contemporaries in Performance' will be held at Hull University on March
20th, 1998. Papers are invited from PhD students in particular students
from the north of England as we don't have a budget to cover travel
costs. I would be especially keen to hear from anyone from York and
Leeds. If there is anyone on the list who teaches at those institutions
I would be grateful if they could pass the information on to their
students. Post-graduates who do not intend to give papers but would like
tho attend are very welcome. There will be a small fee charged to those
not giving papers. Details about the forum can be obtained from

. or by post from Jacquie Hanham, The
Department of Drama, University of Hull, Hull, HU6 7RX. The deadline for
abstracts (of approximately 200 words in length) is February 9th. The
conference is timed to coincide with a production of 'Henry V' in the
Gulbenkian Theatre at Hull University.

I would also be very keen to hear from anyone who has any suggestions as
to who I might approach to try and get papers from the forum published.

Thank you,
Jacquie Hanham
