Dear David Middleton,

In 1993 I edited Shakespeare Yearbook No. IV ca..ed The Opera and
Shakespeare. I seem to remember that it contained an article on Thomas's
Hamlet by Christopher Smith. Details have slipped my mind, and I do not
have the volume to hand just now, but you might do well to look. He
would have assembled previous publications, too.

The opera was performed in 1995, I believe, at the Volksoper in Vienna.
If you write to their publicity manager he would probably send you
materials. Their fax is Wiener Staatsoper/Presseb
