Isn't the better diagnosis for John McEnergy (er, McEnery is what I
meant to write) as Mercutio "manic"? The character Mercutio does reach
a state where his words are whirling so much that Romeo has to calm him
down.

uncontrollable in the BBC/Time-Life version.
