We thought you might be interested in our video series called A TASTE OF
SHAKESPEARE, under-an-hour adaptations of the Shakespeare plays most
frequently taught in classrooms. In each video, key scenes are played
and an actor/narrator steps out of the action to comment and synopsize
scenes which won't be seen. We thought if students could see a
production like this, it would help them through the entire play which
they would subsequently read and already have some of their own thoughts
spurred concerning the story, themes, relevance and key character
So far we have produced four - HAMLET (Bronze Award Winner - National
Media Education Network) , THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, ROMEO & JULIET and A
MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Each comes with a teacher's guide.
We just put up a website
and invite you to visit us.
