Subject: HAMLET Supernova

The following article appeared in the October 19 issue of The Boston
Globe:

Written in the stars: Astronomer says sentries guarding Hamlet's castle
awaited a ghost - and saw an epochal supernova

By David L. Chandler, Globe Staff, 10/19/98

It summarizes an article appearing in the current issue of Sky and
Telescope magazine in which physicist Donald Olson concludes that the
star discussed in the opening of HAMLET was a supernova spotted in 1572.
