I just read a review of it in _The New Yorker_. It wasn't particularly
well received by the man reviewing it.

I read a review of it today in Books-A-Million's
newspaper/advertisement. If that's available down under, you may want to
take a look at it.

My colleague Wally Kerrigan has a review that is also the cover story
for the current issue of _Lingua Franca_. I only glanced at it, and was
not favorably impressed. Kerrigan characterizes the book, in any case,
as Emersonian.

I haven't actually seen a copy of the long-awaited volume myself, but
there was quite an extensive (and, it seemed to me, reasonable) review
by Anthony Lane in last week's New Yorker, if you can get hold of a
copy.
