Subject: Shakespeare in Love / Elizabeth
The New York Times, Sunday Sept. 14 notes two films to be released this
Fall that may be of interest to members of this list. One is about
Elizabeth I (in her early days as Queen). See
www.Elizabeth-themovie.com. A single page ad appears for the film in
the same issue. In December, Shakespeare in Love will be released.
Screenplay by Tom Stoppard. According to the NY Times critic,
Shakespeare faces writer's block and falls in love with Viola, who
disguises herself as a member of his troupe. R and J emerges from
Shakespeare's crush. Sounds similar to the novel _Shakespeare's
Sweetheart_.
