Subject: SHAKSPER Conference Information

Dear SHAKSPEReans,

I had planned a "SHAKSPER Landmark" posting earlier this week when the
Conference had for the first time in its history representatives from
forty countries. However, before I got a chance the make the
announcement our one member from China sent in a unsubscribe message.
Nevertheless, SHAKSPER remains "The Global Electronic Shakespeare
Conference." Membership has hovered around 1,400 members for about a
year now, but the countries from which our membership is derived have
increased.

According to my records SHAKSPER has members from Argentina, Australia,
Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Cyprus, Denmark,
Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Guam, Hungary, India,
Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland,
Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and the
United States. If I have missed a country, please let me know so that I
can make the correction.

Members should be aware that I currently have a graduate assistant
designing a SHAKSPER web site. This site will contain the entire
SHAKSPER archives and have, I hope, other interesting information.
Suggestions are welcome.
