Subject:        SHAKSPER Interruption

Dear SHAKSPEReans,

I am leaving for the UK on Tuesday.  I have everything I need to signup
with a UK Internet Service Provider when I arrive, but I cannot be sure
that all will go smoothly nor can I be sure exactly when I will feel so
inclined to get back on-line (Remember, getting back on-line also means
being in touch with the Department and all of the headaches of
registration and last-minute hirings).

Whatever the case, digests will, at best, be irregular for the next few
weeks and may, in fact, be interrupted until I return August 31 or
September 1.

I want to thank everyone who responded to my questions about Internet
access in the UK. I plan, after I return, to compile all of the useful
information you all sent me into a file for the fileserver.
