A good, and informative recent edition of *The Birth of Merlin* is that
by Joanna Udall: *A critical old-spelling edition of..." (PR 2856 1991).

I can't point to a particular volume, but I have seen Scandinavian
costume pictured in the Renaissance section of a comprehensive book on
costume throughout time. The Germans were wearing very different clothes
at this time than the French, Spanish, Italian or English, so that in a
pinch their styles (full of slashes and ribbons) might do. There are
many pictures of German costume available.

Subject: Drinking & Banquet Scenes
Many thanks to everyone who sent me suggestions on drinking and banquet
scenes. We were able to incorporate many of the suggestions I received,
and the evening was a great success.
