Subject: Stuff on Shakespeare

In Last Saturday's New York Times, Stephen Greenblatt had an essay on
discussing ideas for Shakespeare in Love. This week's Time and
Newsweek_ both have essays on Shakespeare, and Entertainment Weekly) has
two, one about forthcoming Shakespeare films and another about the
controversy over whether the screenwriters of SH in Love plagiarized
from the 1950 novel _No Bed from Bacon_. I might add that Shakespeare'
Sweetheart (190) also seems to be a source. Also, there was an episode
of Boy Meets World the other night abut a character named Eric who wins
great reviews from a high school performance as Hamlet and then who goes
to Hollywood to work on a show called _Kid Gets Aquatinted with the
Universe." He gets fired because he can only (over) act as a
Shakespearean.
