Subject:        Aussie Shakespeare?

Last week the New York Times mentioned an Asian reconstruction of Lear,
and I was all excited 'cause I got a sister in New York and possible a
place to stay and I've always imagined a Kabuki Lear would be really
cool.

Then, at the bottom of the article, it said that Lear was part of the
Festival of Perth in Australia, which would also include a Richard II
who lead an army of teddy bears (!?).

Can anyone down there report on the productions (and I'll just go back
to renting "Ran.")
