Subject: para Shakespeare
Just ran across this weird allusion in an automobile discussion-thought
some might be interested in it:
German cars have long had a reputation for high-precision engineering.
Even Shakespeare, although not a motorist himself, made a passing
reference to them in "The Merchant of Venice."
SHYLOCK: " On what compulsion must I? Tell me that".
PORSCHE: "The quality of Mercedes is not Strain'd".
It goes on and on, but that's the only Shakespeare reference (lots of
others, like "Slow down, you Goethe fast").
