Subject:        Shakespeare's Birthday and Modern Drama

I have two inquiries:

1) I was wondering if anyone was aware of scholarly publications on the
relationship between Shakespeare and modern playwrights such as
Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, etc.

2) I would be interested in hearing some of the arguments about the
commonly accepted date of Shakespeare's birth, which is this Friday.  A
friend of mine and I were discussing it and I'm looking for some more
reliable sources of info.
