Subject: Shakespeare and Glamour
My students have been bringing in magazines with two-page ads for Max
Factor's Midsummer Night's Dream collection of cosmetics, created by
Ronnie Specter who did the makeup for the soon to be released film. Some
items are named for characters in the play, though why one would pay
money for Cob Web nail enamel escapes me.
Can anyone recall a cosmetics line tied to Shakespeare? Or a similar
product?
The May issue of Glamour contains an article about the makeup, a longer
article about past and forthcoming films ("To See or Not to See"), and
an article on orgasms begins with a paragraph about Shakespeare in Love.
