D. G. Hale asks,
>The May issue of Glamour contains an article about the makeup, a longer
>article about past and forthcoming films ("To See or Not to See"), and
>an article on orgasms begins with a paragraph about Shakespeare in Love.

>What next?
What's next is a lot of cynics feeling justified in saying that all
"so-called art" is merely an abstraction of material needs and desires.
I think that what we should be asking is whether, if we are to oppose
such crass commercialism, on what grounds are we to do so?
Cheers,
