Subject: Nicholas Hammond in "The Tempest" (1983)

Dear All,

Does anyone have information on a Shakespeare series that was produced
for television in the 1980's for (apparently) American television? I
came across a (not complete) reference to it in the Internet Movie
Database under the entry for actor Nicholas Hammond. It appears he
played Ferdinand in a 1983 TV production starring Efrem Zimbalist, Jr as
Prospero. Elsewhere on the Internet I found either reference to the
series or tapes for sale. The other plays I recall are:

"Richard II" David Birney in title role, Paul Shenar as Bolingbroke,
Nicholas Hammond as Henry Percy

"Macbeth" Jeremy Brett and Jane Lapotaire (Yet with that cast it doesn't
sound like an American production at all, does it?)

I admit that I may be confused. Will someone please enlighten? And
what is your opinion on the series?

Sincerely,
Mary in Tennessee
