For those who don't know or don't subscribe to Shakespeare Bulletin, a
Journal of Performance Criticism and Scholarship (now in its 18th year).
The Fall 1999 issue (17.4) is off the press. It includes:
Charles Marowitz on "Shakespearean Acting: 'Cue for Passion.'"
John R. Ford on "Prospero's Release: Exorcising Anger and Sexuality in
ACTER's The Tempest."
In the section "Shakespeare on Film," H. R. Coursen on "Three Recent
Shakespeare Productions on Television"--RNT Lear, Lincoln Center Twelfth
Night, NBC Tempest.
The issue also features reviews of theatre productions from Providence
and New York to Los Angeles and Seattle.
As usual, the issue offers production photos and illustrations, book
reviews, and a listing of Events.
