Comment: Re: SHK 10.1922 Nims's edn. of Golding
I didn't "recommend" Nims's edition...I just said that was the edition I
happened to have (checked out from the University of Guam's
far-below-standard library, as it happens) I've been looking for other
editions, either affordable for purchase or on-line/etext, without much
luck. Any suggestions? (Thanks for the caveat, John!)
Speaking of (possible) e-texts...another posting in today's digests
mentioned the wonderful Furness site with facsimiles of many relevant
materials, including some sections of Holinshed. Has anyone happened
upon a non-facsimile e-text for Holinshed? The Furness site is
beautiful, but it is very slow-I've been trying to find something online
to consult for content. Any suggestions?
Cheers,
