Subject: Granville-Barker and VanDoren

I'm trying to get my hands on some of the canonical scholarship texts
that everyone seems to quote: Granville-Barker and VanDoren (Mark). Big
problems.

VanDoren seems to be totally out of print. I can't even get listing of
his Shakespeare writings back when they were in print.

Granville-Barker's PREFACES TO SHAKESPEARE seem to come in two flavors:
individual volumes on a single play, or in a "complete" multi-volume
set- sometimes three volumes, sometimes twelve. (Used, of course. All
out of print.) Do you the anthologies contain the same depth of
discussion as the single volumes? Which is the real "complete" set?
These, at least, I can find in a number of the better used bookstores
around the Bay, and online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Any wisdom on these matters?
