The editors of Shakespeare magazine are pleased to announce the
publication of the Summer issue (volume three, issue 2). This issue
contains:

Exclusive interviews with Kevin Kline and director Michael Hoffman about
Fox Searchlight's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Fran Helphenstine of Morehouse State on "Peter Quince as Director."

Teaching MND articles:
"An exercise in Interpretation" by Michael J. Collins.
"Kids Just Wanna Have Fun" by Amy Ulen.

Josh Cabat's "Beyond West Side Story," a look at the problems of
Shakespearean modernizations.
"World Wide Will" - a look at how Shakespeare is taught and performed
around the world.
News on the Rialto - reviews of productions, CDs, and websites, as well
as news of upcoming films and conferences.

We also have important news about our website -
http://www.shakespearemag.com

First, we would like to announce the Grand Opening of "The Infinite
Book," the one-stop place for all things Shakespearean. The store
contains books, videos, tapes and CDs, and is open 24 hours a day.

We no longer require a password to access the Teaching Resource section
of teaching ideas. All teachers are welcome to print and use any
lesson.

While some back issues are still available, we are in the process of
posting all the articles from our sold out issues. The Spring 1997
issue on the Comedies is already on-line and the rest will follow.

We welcome any suggestions or comments on the magazine or the website.

Best,
Mike LoMonico, editor
