Just a brief word on the other side of the debate. Isn't Jonathan Bate's
new edition of Titus Andronicus very good? And David Bevington's Troilus
and Cressida? And some of the second edition are also still essential,
surely? I speak tentatively against an MLA taster, perhaps you would
except these editions from your general censure...
