Graduate Student Conference
University of Nevada, Las Vegas
June 2 - 3, 2000

(Re)Visionary Approaches: Literature and the 21st Century
Call for Papers, Poetry & Prose

The conference aims to expose and explore the directions literature and
literary studies are taking as we forge into this new century. All
submissions are welcome !!! While the scope of the conference is fairly
wide, however, we are most interested in work that is NEW - we want to
see graduate students making significant contributions to the field,
both critically and aesthetically. We are as interested in creative
pieces as we are in critical ones.

Send abstracts/proposals (c. 300 words) by April 1, 2000. Complete
mss. should be submitted for fiction and poetry; presentations should
not exceed 20 minutes in length, to allow time for questions and
discussion. Complete panel proposals will be considered (provided panel
members are not all from the same institution), and should be submitted
as a unit.
