Vis a vis stage combats, a good case can be made for highly stylized
combat being more effective than trying to mimic the genuine item. One
of the most satisfying presentations of battle in JULIUS CAESAR was in
the JULIUS CAESAR IN AFRICA presented 2 years ago at the Nuyorican Cafe
in NYC. The battles were fought as highly ritualized dances, and without
weapons as I recall.
