TEMPEST and LEAR

Tempest and Lear are Beowulf class supercomputers at the University of
Pittsburgh Department of Physics and Astronomy. These high performance
computers are designed for solving large-scale scientific problems. Each
node within the clusters is running the freely available Linux operating
system (RedHat Linux), Distributed Queuing System (DQS), and parallel
computing tools. Lear is dedicated especially for large lattice QCD
computations.
