TEMPEST and LEAR

Tempest and Lear are Beowulf class supercomputers at the University of
Pittsburgh Department of Physics and Astronomy.  These high performance
computers are designed for solving large-scale scientific problems. Each
node within the clusters is running the freely available Linux operating
system (RedHat Linux), Distributed Queuing System (DQS), and parallel
computing tools. Lear is dedicated especially for large lattice QCD
computations.

Subject:        Teacher Exchange

Does anyone know of a clearing-house for  Secondary School Teachers who
might like to exchange a week or so of teaching? I am in New England and
would like to consider this with a teacher in the United Kingdom or some
English speaking country teach Secondary Theater (including Shakespeare)
at an all girl's prep school.

Roth Commits to Direct 'Lear'

NEW YORK (Variety) - After making his directorial debut chronicling an
incest-infested family in last year's 'The War Zone,' Tim Roth will make
his follow-up with the ultimate dysfunctional family tale, Shakespeare's
'King Lear.' A script is being written by playwright Harold Pinter, who
had sparked to 'The War Zone.' Pinter's film credits include 'The French
Lieutenant's Woman' and 'The Last Tycoon,' and 'Lear' will be his first
screen adaptation of Shakespeare.
