Peter Brook's much earlier experimental 45 minute Tempest (on film,)
late 60s or early 70s I think cast a Japanese actor in kimono as Ariel -
who words, sounds and body language from that culture. The rest of the
cast are in jeans, T shirts and long skirts. It is , of course,
extraordinary.
