Subject:        Call for Submissions--JEMCS

The Journal for Early Modern Cultural Studies (JEMCS) seeks
article-length contributions for its inaugural issues.  Scheduled to
begin publication in 2001, JEMCS welcomes scholarly work on the period
from the late fifteenth through the late nineteenth centuries, with a
particular focus on cross-disciplinary studies of literature and the
broader social formation.  Feminist, queer/lesbian, postmodernist,
postcolonial, and historicist methodologies are encouraged.  The
author's name should appear only on a detachable cover sheet and not
within the body of the article.  Manuscripts will not be returned unless
accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.  Submissions should be
prepared according to MLA style and mailed to the Editors, JEMCS,
Department of English, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL 32306.
