There's always Alfred Jarry's Ubu Roi, the play that shocked Paris in
1898, was very influential in the avant garde of the 1920s and, more
recently, was quite popular during the activist movements of the 1960s
and '70s. Pere Ubu and his consort are quite blatantly modeled on the
Macbeth couple.

P.S. I realize that I'm responding several days late, so I apologize if
I'm repeating what others have already offered.

Celia,

An exotic "Eastern European-and-French" production is "Macbett" by Eugen
Ionesco (French playwright of Romanian origin). The play is currently
running at the Bucharest National Theatre. There is a good webpage with
all the details of the production (in Romanian) and a nice picture.
