We're still plugging away. I called the BBC yesterday, hoping to get
some insight into the situation Doug Lanier presented, but Burton was
heading into a meeting and I didn't get to talk to him. He didn't call
me back. I tried again this morning and got his voice mail (instead of
leaving a message with an aide), which told me he was out of town
today. I'll try again on Monday and update the list as soon as I have
some information.

Because these salesmen (including those selling the OED and Arden
Shakespeare) depend on libraries buying entire sets at incredibly
inflated prices.

My first pick would be the Jane Howell tetralogy, the Wars of the Roses
sequence. After that, Moshinsky's Georgian LLL. The Jacobi Richard II
would not be far behind, though I enjoyed his Hamlet as well.
