Got a call back from Burton's secretary, who says nothing has changed
and the DVD release will not lead to the home distribution of same.
Keep calling them, folks. We'll wear them down yet.

I would be very interested in any answer to my original question about
the content and quality of this DVD release. Has anyone seen any of the
earliest DVDs from the series? Since I will have to make a decision
about recommending this series to my university library (or not) within
a few weeks (in order to get the pre-order discount), I'd appreciate any
information anyone might have about whether the new format is well or
poorly executed. I suspect this information will be helpful to others
as well. If you wish, you can also reply to me off-list.

Cheers,
Douglas Lanier
