LLL is scheduled for VHS release on the 19th, as well, but this is one
of those cases where the DVD will be cheaper than the VHS because the
tape is originally going to be priced for the rental market at around
$100 dollars. According to Amazon, once it's made the rental money the
studio would like to see from it, then the price will drop down to a
more acceptable home market level--somewhere below $20.

Sorry Billy, but it does indeed look like LL will be DVD only. Screeners
are almost always still sent out in VHS format, regardless of the final
product format. It's cheaper and it's still a given that most retailers
have access to VHS machines. The 90-day PPV window just means that the
industry has agreed across the board to wait 90 days after the rental
video/dvd release before broadcasting the film on pay-per-view or cable
stations, thus protecting the rental market for at least 90 days from
undue competition. It doesn't have anything to do with the format.

My friend works at Hollywood video, which received a single copy on VHS
to start renting on Tuesday. I found it interesting that they bought
two VHS copies and one DVD TITUS and only that one copy of LLL. Another
interesting little fact is that both of their VHS copies of TITUS were
stolen within the first month of their release, which according to the
manager is very rare. At least the thieves have good taste though.
