Subject: Hamlet Stories

A colleague pointed out to me that the latest catalogue for the
Teacher's Video Company contains the following description of
Zeffirelli's Hamlet:

With fine scenery, sharp dialogue, and Mel Gibson in the lead, this film
captivates students! Today's most popular actors deliver the famous
Shakespearian sonnets with authority and power. Experience the woe of
the disheartened prince who confronts his rivals and propels the
tragedy.

On a related note, a student in my Shakespeare class recently wrote that
"Shylock demands three thousand pounds of Antonio's flesh."
