Thanks for reconsidering.
I, too, an concerned about the paper mills. My method of preventing
students' use of such services is to **assign** essay topics, and to
draw those topics from issues raised in class discussion. I used to
think that if I gave students the freedom to formulate their own topics,
they would submit more insightful and original essays, but experience
has taught me otherwise.
