Subject: Moving
Greetings to all...
My life has once again taken a strange turn, and I find that next week
(1 Nov.), I am leaving Guam (and its horrible university where I have
been unhappily teaching for far too long) and moving to Wales, where I
will finish my long-delayed dissertation on The Sonnets at Univ. of
Wales, Lampeter. (I hope Hardy won't be too disappointed...I think
there are a couple of other Shaksperians on Guam, so perhaps we won't be
down to 48 countries with my departure!)
I was wondering if I could mine the collective wisdom of the list
members for any tidbits of information you all might have concerning
living/researching in the UK, and Wales in particular? (I have visited
Lampeter a number of times so I have some idea of what I'm in for.) But
is there any interesting theatre I should seek out? Any political
pitfalls I should avoid stumbling into? Any Shaksperians who would like
to join me for a drink? Write me off-list at
