Subject: Branagh's As You Like It?
Has anyone heard any more on Kenneth Branagh's next project? I found a
preliminary report online about how he was doing 'As You Like It' - any
idea as to release dates, rest of the cast, or anything at all? At
first glance I would assume that Branagh will either take on a purely
directorial role, and will not appear, or will perhaps appear as
Touchstone or the Melancholy Jaques? He's a bit old now for Orlando,
perhaps.
Any ideas?
And NOW I have found another notice online about Branagh's 'Macbeth' - I
had heard rumour of it, but thought it was just KB talking in terms of
five year plans. Has anyone got more of an inside track on this one?
I was also reading a press release on 'Love's Labours' and found that
more often than not Alicia Silverstone was credited above Branagh in
cast lists - I suppose that's the way of the Hollywood scene? Gorgeous
superstar ahead of screenwriter, director, lead?
