Subject:        Doubling Roles

In the discussion about doubling, I don't think anyone has mentioned T.
J.  King, *Casting Shakespeare's Plays* (Cambridge UP, 1992).  King
compiled doubling charts for all of Shakespeare's plays and for
twenty-five others that have extant "plots" or "playbooks."  He notes
that "leading actors who play principal roles sometimes also play two or
more minor parts" (p. 48).
