Subject: 11.1727 Doubling in Macbeth?
Comment: RE: SHK 11.1727 Doubling in Macbeth?

When I directed it for the Monac Drama Group I had 11 men and 4 women
(plus a child for Apparition 3 and Young Macduff.

I did the following doublings:

Duncan/porter/Old Man/Murd 3
Mess/Seyton/Servant/Murd 1
Macduff/Captain/App 1
Lenox/Angus/Mess/Menteth
Donalbain/Murd 2
Fleance/App 2

Some of this was due to the actual age and ability of the actors, but it
worked OK.

If you would like I can send you an Excel spreadsheet with a breakdown
of how it all worked scene by scene.

Good Luck in your production
