I have "Who's Who In Shakespeare" by Wendy Nelson-Cave.  There is a
listing for Leontes but there is no mention of a Plato connection.

I would check or question your source carefully. I can find no
necrophiliac named Leontes in Republic Book 3.

Neither, apparently, had Plato. Is someone's leg being pulled?
