Subject: Shakespeare and His Friends
Dear Group,
I've recently come into possession of a an engraving (not certain if
it's a print or copy) titled "Shakespeare and His Friends." Pictured
with Shakespeare are Sylvester, Camden, Seldon, the Earl of Dorset,
Beaumont, Fletcher, Bacon, Jonson, Daniel Donne, Raleigh, the Earl of
Southampton, Robert Cotton, and Dekker. At the bottom along with the
identifying names is the following information:
Painted by John Faed, U.S.A.; Engraved by James Faed; "Published
Exclusively for the Members of the Cosmopolitan Art Association for the
Sixth Year 1859-60"
Can anyone supply me with information about this piece. Please reply
