Subject:        Cymbeline in Performance

Back in May, Tim Richards asked us to share experiences of Cymbeline in
performance. This weird and, I think, wonderful play is  part of this
year's Shakespeare Santa Cruz Festival and is directed by Danny Scheie.
I'm the dramaturg and am currently working to ensure a tight balance,
indeed a thorough combination, of tragedy and comedy.

The production opens on 27th July (previews 23, 25, 26) and runsin rep
with LLL and Sartre's Kean until 27th August
